Hi there

As we approach the holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to pause and give thanks for the many blessings God has poured into our lives. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and provision. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside my wife, Nancy, on this incredible journey. Over the past couple of months, I’ve met so many wonderful people who are living for Jesus, and hearing their stories of how Christ has transformed their lives has been nothing short of encouraging.

I am also thankful for the mission-minded partners God has placed in our path—those who share the vision of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and who see the potential to impact the Southeast corner of Kansas for the Kingdom of God. Together, we’re working to bring more people to a saving knowledge of Jesus and to help them grow in their faith.

Ministry Update:

Since joining the Fellowship of Christian Athletes staff in September, I have been blessed to connect with huddle leaders from 12 different schools in our area. I’m so thankful for these dedicated volunteers who are leading huddles and making a difference in the lives of students.
The following schools currently have FCA huddles:
  • Fort Scott Middle School
  • Fort Scott High School
  • Uniontown Jr. High
  • Pittsburg High School
  • 7th grade Pittsburg Jr. High
  • Frontenac High School
  • Southeast High School
  • Baxter Springs High School
  • Riverton High School
  • Galena High School
  • Girard High School
I’ve had the privilege to meet with many of these leaders, but there are still some schools I’m working to connect with. Pittsburg State University, in particular, does not yet have an FCA huddle, and this is something I’m passionate about as it’s where I personally grew in my faith many years ago. Currently, I’ve been meeting with an assistant athletic director who has been introducing me to the coaches and sharing details about Bible studies happening with student-athletes. We’re praying and planning on how to restart the Pitt State FCA huddle, and we hope to meet soon with students who are spiritual leaders on campus to help guide that process.
One of the highlights of my week is attending the Pitt State football coaches Bible study, which is led by David Irons, director of Christian Challenge. It’s been such an encouragement to study the Word with these coaches and pray for their leadership on and off the field.
In the past 2 ½ months since joining FCA, we’ve been able to distribute 40 "The Four" wristbands and 50 Bibles to schools and coaches in the area. One of the greatest joys of my role as an Area Rep is the opportunity to support our huddle leaders and coaches, and to share the Word of God with several huddles along the way.

Prayer Requests:

Prayer Requests:

  • For our huddle leaders: Pray for strength, wisdom, and encouragement as they lead these student groups and help disciple the next generation.
  • For discernment: Please pray for guidance as we work to restart the Pitt State huddle and create a strong foundation for FCA on that campus.
  • For new partners: We’re praying that God will send people who have a heart for the ministry and the vision of FCA to come alongside us and partner in this work.

Many people do year-end giving, both for tax purposes or for seasonal needs. If you're considering any year-end giving, we'd love it if you considered giving an additional (or first time!) donation to our work! It would help us with some ministry expenses and help us to be fully-funded and focused as we start next year. To do that, you can use the Join my HomeTeam button above or contact me and I can help you out.

, thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and prayers. It’s a blessing to be part of what God is doing in this region, and we’re excited to see how He will continue to move in the hearts and lives of students, coaches, and communities.
Wishing you and your family a blessed and joyful holiday season.
In Christ,
